In March 2010, Lynn Played for Queensland U-19 team and made his first class debut against South Australia at Gaba, when he was only 19 year old. He serves as the Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League. In his first season Lynn has scored 109 at an average of 21.80. During 2011 and 2012 He was a part of Deccan Chargers team in Indian Premier League tournaments. On 9 February 2015, in the Sheffield Shield, he scored an unbeaten 250 against Victoria.
In IPL Auction 2013 he was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad team for IPL 2013 Season but did not get the opportunity to play in a single match.
